Position reports to Sr. Manager, Payroll Compliance Workforce Solution

 

Responsible for ensuring overall compliance on the HRIS, Payroll and Benefits systems and processes such as compliance with payroll regulations, laws, taxes and Sarbanes-Oxley.

  • Monitor and ensure complete organizational and regulatory compliance, including documented SOX procedures as relate to HR aspects.
  • Audit tax reconciliations, GL interface is accurate and in balance prior to payroll period close
  • Audit and enforce all aspects of tax compliance including resident and non-resident taxation, FLSA, overtime compliance, multi-state taxing & expats, etc.
  • Audit and ensure payroll bank files are accurate prior to each payroll period close
  • Verify and approve all tax liabilities are accurate prior to close
  • Responsible for year end close, testing, correction out of balance conditions, ensuring accurate and timely W-2 processing
  • Oversee all aspects of fringe benefits, taxable and non-taxable, stock options, relocations, GTL, expat benefits
  • Coordinate all HR related audits, external and internal - respond to auditor comments
  • Work with HRIS team to assist payroll years, update database for new payroll year processing including tax rate changes.
  • Multiple site reporting
  • Maintain controls, run periodic audits, analyze and assess payroll applications

Requirements

  • BBA in Accounting or related field of study or equivalent exp
  • 3-5 years of payroll acctg and payroll tax reporting for multi-state, multi FEIN employer
  • CPP preferred
    • Srong understanding of labor & tax laws
    • Working knowledge of all aspects of payroll taxes, including expatriate, resident and non-resident taxation for a mobile organization
    • Exp with year end close, testing, corrections and delivering accurate and timely W-2's
    • Strong compliance knowledge, including SOX requirements
    • Exp with UltiPro and Cognos preferred
