Houston, TX - June 9, 2009 - CORESTAFF Services (www.corestaff.com) has named Rick Carlson as vice president, general manager of its Technology Sector, a group specializing in serving the recruiting and staffing needs relating to Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering and Clinical Research. Carlson assumes his new role on June 15, 2009 and will be based in Atlanta.

“I know Rick has the right combination of leadership experience in sales and staffing among the IT and pharmaceutical sectors to continue growing this already successful area to even greater heights,” said Jim Boone, CORESTAFF Services president and chief executive officer.

Carlson will lead the sales and service personnel in the Technology Sector across all of CORESTAFF’s regions and markets to drive revenue and profit for the company. He will also work cooperatively with the regional general managers on cross-selling opportunities.

Carlson most recently served as market vice president of Kforce Professional Staffing in Atlanta, where he turned a rapidly declining market around to profitability. He was vice president of sales at Renaissance Learning, Inc, where he led a sales team to revenue running 17 percent above prior year. And in his nine-year career at Modis, Inc., an IT services and solutions organization, he was responsible for impressive revenue growth as he advanced through the organization, ultimately serving as senior vice president of its Southern Region. As a 13-year employee of Capsugel (now Pfizer, Inc.), Carlson held several successful sales roles, eventually becoming North America sales director.
