Data Entry Clerk

Job Description:

  • 1-2 years of Experience. Operates numerical and/or alphabetical key station to transcribe data from standard source documents.
  • Checks and corrects data entered through terminal or hard-copy.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions.
  • Microsoft Office and Outlook experience a must. Warehouse or receiving clerk experience a plus.
  • Must have STRONG Microsoft Excel (filtering, sorting, color coding) and Outlook skills (searching and sending from multiple email accounts).
  • Excel and Outlook test given during interview.
  • Candidates will be required during interview with manager do a pre-screening for MS Office and Outlook to ensure they are proficient with spreadsheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to enter data at a reasonable speed, which is usually specified as alpha numeric and numeric keystrokes.
  • Knowledge of software packages required for specialized position, which is project or database driven.
  • Tracking and receiving material orders in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Microsoft Office and Outlook experience required.
  • Knowledge of spread sheets and ability to effectively communicate with team members essential.
  • Job entails researching shipment tracking #, validating via shipper’s web portal that package was delivered and documenting tracking/delivery information in several systems.
  • Training on company systems provided. Most communication with vendors and shippers is done via email.
  • Very little phone work required. High volume, fast past, multitasking environment. Attention to detail and accuracy are required.
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screenings. Must report to Newark, DE office (no working remotely allowed)
